For every past draw, each method picks its numbers using only earlier results, stakes 1 unit on each number, and collects the standard payout of 50× on the 1st lot, 20× on the 2nd, 10× on the 3rd. By chance alone, every number hits 3% of the time and returns −20%.

The sheet adds 22 (or 21, or 04) to each lot. This tries every constant from 00 to 99 on older draws, picks the best one, then checks it on newer draws it has never seen.
How often each 2-digit number came out in one lot. A fair draw still shows ups and downs; the test is whether the spread is bigger than luck would produce.
Data: New York Lottery Numbers and Win 4 results from data.ny.gov (dataset hsys-3def), December 2001 onward, when both midday and evening draws exist. Lots use the usual mapping: 1st lot is the last two digits of Numbers, 2nd and 3rd lots are the first and last two digits of Win 4. Payouts vary by bank; 50/20/10 is the common rate. Results are the past and say nothing about the next draw.
